How to delete your Ivoca account

You can delete your Ivoca account at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

1. Delete your account in the app or on the website

1. Sign in to the Ivoca app (iPhone / Android) or to ivoca.co.uk.
2. Open the menu and choose Profile.
3. Scroll to the Delete account section at the bottom of the page.
4. If your account has a password, enter your current password. Accounts that use Google or Apple sign-in do not need a password.
5. Tap Delete my account, then confirm with Delete permanently.

Your account is deleted right away, and you are signed out on all devices.

2. Request deletion by email

If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the email address linked to your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify your request and delete your account within 30 days.

3. What is deleted

• Account data: your name, email address, password, and profile picture.
• Sign-in links with Google and Apple. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also revoke Ivoca's access in your Apple ID.
• Learning data: test results, ratings, favourites, and progress.
• Content you created: vocabulary topics, conversation topics, and saved lyrics.
• Your sign-in history and device sessions.

4. What is kept

• Token purchase and usage records, including Stripe payment records. We keep these in anonymised form because we are required by law to keep financial records. They are no longer linked to your name or email address, and we keep them only for as long as the law requires.
• Any tokens left in your account are forfeited when the account is deleted. They are not refunded.

5. After deletion

Signing in again with the same email address, Google account, or Apple ID creates a new, empty account. We cannot restore data from a deleted account.
